I am writing you to let you know that you are appreciated. All over the world, martial artists have come together in unity for the love of the arts. You act as a strong bond to the main principles of what martial arts are truly supposed to be. Your dedication and time spent on improving the very quality of the martial arts in itself has been quite astounding. In respect to your position, I look up to you as a role model, and a very disciplined leader. There are no greater rewards in life than to be what you want to be, remain who you are and true to self and reap the benefits thereof. I believe that you have stepped out in faith to assemble our organization to be more than just another "chance" at recognition, People find that you are genuine man of respect and honor. I have the deepest respect for you as a martial artist for having the courage to take over the Alliance after the great Mr. Robert Trias. Anyone who can be innovative, inspiring and creative enough to stand firm on true beliefs and the firm foundation of what once was, should be recognized. Sir, as I am only one man, I pray that this letter be a strong example of recognition to you, as you have done so much for us. I now attempt to recognize you properly for the many blessings that you have bestowed upon all of us that are affiliated with the Alliance. We are grateful and humble that you have invested so much time and energy into our organization. I personally thank you from my heart for the Alliance, and the unchanged dignity and candor that you bring to it. As always, I pray that you remain blessed, and that you continue blessing others. We should all set our own standards for achieving our goals. I hope one day, I may find myself able to carry on the same as you have for so many years. You are an inspiration to me. My name Todd Somers, I own Dragons Martial Arts In Salem, IN. I have competed in several alliance tournaments thru the years. I can honestly say, that they are the best well organized events I have been to. The alliance has always had a family & team attitude with all the schools, that are apart of it. I've made lots of friends over the years thru Alliance. One of the people I've enjoy talking to you every time I see him , is Grandmaster Black. He has always encouraged me with my school and the growing pains that come with a new martial arts school. All I can say about Alliance is....if your not a member , you and your school should join!! I've been apart of many other organizations and they don't even come close to matching up! Everything they do is always 1st class!! Dr. Jim Thomas is a wonderful president of Alliance. He isn't one of these guys you can never get a hold of, He has always been their to answer any question that I have had. about tournaments, events, the hall of fame, etc. Dr. Jim Thomas inducted me into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame in April of 08 and I will be inducted again in April 4th, 09'. It is the greatest honor for that to happen to me, Hall of fame is a night that Jim Thomas, recognizes the work and dedication.. a lot of Martial Artist go through to keep their schools open and the sacrifices that are made to your health, financial & sometimes your personal life. International Champion’s Leader, Head Coach of Team USA and the
President of the "Alliance". When we first met Jim in 2004 and he
recruited us, Team Wright of NJ, to be on the US National Martial
Arts Team "Alliance" to compete Internationally in Jamaica. Since
then and with the help of God, we joined together with outstanding
Team Players Nationwide to compete with Team USA against Jamaica in
2005. Team USA won under the directions of Head Coach Dr. Jim
Thomas. Team NJ won the most International Titles in 2005. Since
then we continue to grow and win State, Regional, National and
International World Grand Championship Titles for Team USA from
2005-2010. Dr. Jim Thomas’s Organization compliments All Styles and
All Systems of Martial Arts. In fact, The "Alliance" Empowers
everyone to grow in their own Organization and assist School Owners
and Competitors to become recognized community Leaders within the
U.S.A. Hall of Fame and the University of Asian Martial Arts Studies
an International Honorary recognition chapter. This is my testimony,
as a Christian and Martial Arts Grand Master, I highly recommend, if
you’re a Martial Arts School Owner or Competitor, Do Not be afraid
to take the Martial Arts challenge in joining the "Alliance" to
enhance your Martial Arts future and Leadership Career. Since
Partnering and Networking with Dr. Jim Thomas, my Team and I can
honestly say, that "he is a fair man who supports his Competitors,
Students, Alumni and Directors." Dr. Thomas is there for You. He
empowers you to be creative in your choice of Art. Also, he will
support you and gives members free advice. One of Dr. Thomas’s

Dr. Thomas is a Vietnam Veteran and Family Man who is passionate
